101 in 1001 List
I cannot believe it is July already! Really, where does the time go? Speaking of time, its been 2 Years, 8 months, 26 days, 9 hours and 36 minutes since I started or made my very first list of 101 things to do in 1001 days. So today, ready or not, I’m sharing how I stacked up and what I’ve done during that time.
It’s crazy to think that much time has already passed. And I honestly haven’t really looked or paid attention to the list in the past few months. My last update to how I was doing on my list was over a year ago. It will be interesting to see what I’ve really done, and to also see the goals I set for myself, what seems to have have been so long ago. Almost three years ago.
When did the list begin?
This is a good question, this list began October 2014 for me, and ended June 30, 2017. When I think back to October of 2014, I had TWO 4 month old twins at home with me. I was going into my last month of maternity leave before heading back to work full time since April when I was put on bed rest just before their birth.
I am happy to report that they are healthy adorable little crazy 3 year twins who couldn’t be further from being anything alike. Princess, is well the princess, and she rules the house. And, well the baby (by 1 minute) is in fact the baby, and plays that card as often as he can. And Mr. older brother is now 5 making his way into Kindergarten this fall. S, needless to say, my household is well, busy.
So Where Are We Now?
So are curious about how I stacked up to my own list of goals and how well I completed or met them? I’ve posted it below. To the right of each item, you will see a completion date or a small explanation of the progress made towards that goal.
So, here it is….. raw and all, as to where I stacked up! The bold items are the things I didn’t do or get done. And the strikethrough items are obviously what I completed.

There it is!! Surprisingly, out of the 101 things, about 25 of them didn’t get done. All in all, I feel pretty proud of myself, especially for not really paying attention to the list the last 6 months or so. And yes, there is one or two of some of the things that I did begin or start to do, but didn’t complete and still gave the credit to it.
You can call that cheating but….
Here’s the deal, I’m currently a busy working mom of 3 who has a side craft business, and works to maintain and grow this blog. I really don’t have time to finish reading or start a novel for a book club. It’s a nice idea for someone who is into that or is their thing. It is just not mine…. at least not right now anyway.
Some things on the list for my craft business, like obtain LLC EIN or trademarks, HAVE BEEN on my mind. The trouble is, doing it when its right. There’s loads of paperwork that comes with obtaining those licenses, and taxes and fees as well. And for right now, I am happy with my status, but the the future may look different. I try to do all my homework before jumping something like that. And wholesale selling as well, I’ve taken some courses on the subjects and read into them, and have slightly tested the waters. I’m not making excuses as to why its not done, but rather maybe still in research mode of it.
The other thing I realize is that over the past year and half I’ve been in “research” mode when it comes to goal setting, and actually implementing the things I want to get out of my “life”, my “online craft business” and my “blog”. AND… well, It is a lot. But, it’s what I want to do, and so I’m not giving up. It just all takes time.
I’m pretty darn proud of that list…. it was my first one and now I’m off to make another for the next 1001 days. I will try to post that list next month. As, I’m taking July to think and really plan up those next 101 things. So you can catch my next 101 in 1001 list in August.
This was fun thing to do, and I encourage you to do one yourself and see where you might end up in the next 1001 days.
