We made it!!! A whole year of twins and a toddler!!
This is bittersweet because I finally can move on from the baby bottle stage, which was highly anticipated, yet am a little sad because my babies are now one! I now have 3 TODDLERS – ahhh!
The Twin’s first birthday was Mickey and Minnie theme, and I did a lot of the decorations myself! Especially the cutesy ribbon streamer high chair banners you see. It was completely simple to do an took all of 20 minutes per each banner to make. The embroidery design I already had made up in my embroidery files because I made their shirts too! So, I stitched these out on some lining fabric I had on hand, and just cut them out into pendant shape. Then I took several strips of ribbons in coordinating colors and tied everything in no particular order (with the exception of putting the banner in the middle) to a strip of balloon ribbon. Super cute and made for a great pic for when it was time to eat cake!
I got a little teary eyed just before we sang happy birthday because it was in that moment I realized their first year was behind us. Nonetheless, we sang Happy Birthday to each baby separate because they are individuals after all!!!
It was a super fun party complete with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse favorites like hot dogs and toodles noodles. We even passed out Ears to all those who attended. Photos were taken in front of approx. 9 ft. tall Balloon Mickey and Minnie (which my mother-in-law and I whipped up the night before) separate post on to make those later.
Happy Birthday Eli & Lilly… you have made our family complete and can’t wait for the many memories we make in the years to come!!
