DIY Fabric Pumpkin
One of the things that I love to do is add home decor to my previous years’ collection. Each year I like to add a few new things to change it up from year to year.
Most of the time, it is something I make, and other times it can be bought from the store. This year, I am completely in love with “making all the things” and this DIY fabric pumpkin was no exception when it came to adding a little bit of Fall decor.
And just like my last post on my DIY Fall Pumpkin Sign I am in love with the black and white check pattern for Fall. I might even continue the black and white checkered pattern going into the Christmas season.
I just love the vibe it gives for both Fall and farmhouse style.
Some trends that I am noticing this Fall is that colors, in general, are more muted. They are subtle and more neutral. Yet, I am still seeing the harvest, pumpkins, and similar themes you see every year. It is they are just in the lighter neutral tones.
One popular theme is using more greens within the fall decorating. You might notice in just about every store you enter that carries Fall decor that there is a section that caters to this trend. Everything in that section is light green, whites and neutral tones.
Making A DIY Fabric Pumpkin
For this DIY fabric pumpkin, I used the black and white checkered fabric. You can use any fabric you want. In fact, Fabric.com has tons and tons of selections, and they even have a special going on right now!
Hobby Lobby is where I purchased my fabric and they have a 50% off sale happening right now!
