The Best Craft Room Organization
I have put together some of the best craft room organization tips and easy solutions to help you organize your craft room or space. Below are some of my favorite storage solutions along with some great storage solutions of other crafters.Â
Whether you are a new crafter or experienced crafter you know that the number of supplies and materials that can add up in your stash can accumulate quickly. You may be lucky to have a craft room all to your own or even a crafting space to store them all. However, if you cannot organize the space you have properly, you might on your way to a crafting mess.
If you have a pretty organized room already you still might find some additional solutions to help you stay organized and well on to your way to crafting.
The biggest thing that can prevent someone from crafting is a big ole mess. In fact, I believe it absolutely important to keep materials separate from tools. Having storage solutions for each of these is imperative to get you crafting your next project quickly.
Un organization can lead to a lack of crafting. Being unorganized can also create a lack of motivation or lack of creative mindset leaving you not crafting at all. And this crafty mom doesn’t want that for you.
Believe me, I have had my fair share and then some of being unmotivated to create. I am happiest when I am creating something. However, when life is messy and the craft room looks like a hurricane went through it. Then you can believe I am most un-creative.

Before you can store your supplies you will need to make a space to create. The best way to do this is by organizing your desk. Susan does this really well in her craft room she shares on Organized 31. In fact, she shares how to best organize your items by like kind items together.
Chelsea also makes really great use of pegboard in her craft room. I love this because it organizes all of your tools and you can see everything!
Decorative storage bins are always a great way to go to store your items. You can make them on with your decor or theme and you can keep messy supplies at bay. Check out Modge Podge Rocks and her nifty storage bins for more inspiration.
Adding Style To Your Craft Room Organization
One of my favorite things to see from fellow crafters is not only excellent craft room organization but also an organization with style.
What I mean, is that the crafter put some thought into how the room was put together. There is a flow of colors or even a statement in the room where they create.
This is by far taking the organization to another level. When a craft room also has a decor design element to it, it just makes my crafty heart happy!
For instance, check out Creative Green Living Her choice of wall decor is not the only function but also pretty to look at it. It makes a bold colorful statement.
And Amber makes a bold and beautiful statement on her wall behind her desk! T vibrant floral patterned wallpaper is amazing!
