Clean And Decorate with Me
Today I am sharing with you how I clean and decorating for the holidays. I love getting a head start on the holidays. Decorating early allows me to actually enjoy the holidays just a little bit more! Watch my Clean and Decorate with Me video below for some holiday decor inspiration!
Decorating for the Christmas Holiday season is my absolute favorite time of year to decorate my home. This year I started earlier than usual by a week or so and it is because I actually couldn’t wait.
 Â
I am one of those people who decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving. I do not skip the Thanksgiving holiday, and I am more thankful than ever, but because I do not have a lot of Thanksgiving decor, I start taking down my Fall (“thanksgiving”) items about a week or two before to help transition into the Christmas season. And because I have so much Christmas decor, it takes me awhile to get it all out and set up!
I do have some Thanksgiving Craft ideas you can do with the kids, along with some menu planning and recipes I share on the blog here! So take a look and check those out!
Cleaning
Before I can even start my Holiday decorating I have to clean my home after taking down all of the Fall decorations and crafts. It is also a great time to kind of give my house a refresh or reset before bringing out all of the Christmas bins and decorations.
This year I thought it would be fun to share my process with you and therefore have created my first ever Clean and Decorate with Me video.
The first part goes into just an overall clean of my home’s main living areas. With three kids life can be messy.
Decorating
The second part of my video actually goes into my decorating process. This year I added a small tree to our master bedroom which you will see in the video. I love the idea of having a tree in our bedroom. It just makes the room so cozy and festive.
I will be doing a Holiday Home Tour video soon where I will show you everything I’ve done for the holidays. Until then here’s a video of my start and process.
Check it out below.
Let me know in the comments if you enjoyed this kind of video and I will be sure to create and share more!
