Dollar Tree Christmas DIY
Christmas is just around the corner, and I for one cannot wait to start decorating for Christmas. The Dollar Tree already has their second wave of Christmas decor out and as the shelves begin to fill up I couldn’t help but get excited to create some Holiday Christmas DIYs.

First up is a Pier One dupe or DIY that is super simple and easy to recreate using items only form the Dollar Tree.
I got my inspiration form the project from a Pier One Christmas Tree Frame made out of Pom Poms.
Super cute and adorable for the holiday. However, This can totally be recreated with Dollar Tree items including the Pom Poms and smaller sized picture frame.

Dollar Tree DIY
First I bought three packages of Dollar Tree Poms Poms. The first package was just a mixed variety of colored poms including non-Christmas colors. THen I picked up two packages of Christmas Poms. One was the tinsel poms, and the other was plain.
Then, I used a Dollar Tree Frame I liked. For this project, I picked one with a wooden edge that also had a silver trim. I felt this gave the more modern look to the project.
I removed the glass and the paper inside.
Using some leftover craft cardstock I cut the cardstock down to the 8X10 size. I just used the paper insert as the template for this part and trimmed off the excess with my scissors.
Once my cardstock was trimmed I got to work gluing the pom poms.
Making the Tree
To create the tree design on the cardstock, I first glued down the center base of the tree, then laid out the otter corners of the tree.
From there, I filled in the tree row by row using multiple colors of poms in no particular order. I mixed the tinsel poms with the multi-pack. After my tree was filled to the top point I used some of the smaller tinsel poms to fill in any gaps or holes within my tree. Similar to how ornaments would be placed on an actual Christmas Tree.
Then I put the cardstock Pom Tree back into the frame with the glass behind it to give it some sturdiness.
Here’s a video of my process!
I just love this Dollar Tree DIY! Once it was complete, I placed it on my front coffee table next to a large lantern. I think it creates the perfect backdrop to a mantle or on a table display.
What do you think? It was a great way to kick off the holiday craft season! Stay tuned for more Christmas DIYs.
