Learn to create a fun glow heat transfer shirts with Stahls Glow In the Dark Heat Transfer vinyl. I am going to show you three easy shirts that I created for Halloween using SVG cut files, heat transfer and a craft press.
If you are not familiar with heat transfer vinyl, it is a type of vinyl, that went cut into a design that can be pressed onto a shirt using heat. The heat then allows for the vinyl to stick or adhere to the fabric of a shirt, bag, or surface.
The possibilities and shirt designs that can be created with heat transfer vinyl are truly limitless.
Using A Heat Press
The kind people over at Stahls sent me a pink Craft Press to review and use along with their Ultra Weed and Glow In The Dark Heat Transfer Vinyl.
When the press arrived, it was ready to plug in and use. It also came with easy to follow set up instructions so that I could begin pressing shirts right away.
I am very impressed with the Craft Press because it packs a great deal of punch for its size and usability. The Pink Craft Press has a 9X12 pressing area. The lift handle can be adjusted easily to increase or lessen pressure and it has a digital temperature gauge and timer setting.
I recently shared my process for making this craft kit on my Facebook page where I go live showing new craft ideas. If you don’t follow me there, I’d love to have you over there in our community. I am also sharing new craft ideas.
Below is the video I created showing how I used both the glow and ultra weed vinyl with the Stahls Pink Press:
What did you think? I really love how easy the vinyl worked to create these shirts easily and quickly.
Ultra Weed Heat Transfer Vinyl
I’ve mentioned this before in a previous post, however, it is worth mentioning again. This vinyl is the go-to vinyl for all of your heat transfer vinyl needs. It comes in 37 different colors which is a lot to choose from when making shirts of any kind of type.
The reason I refer to this vinyl as the “go-to” vinyl is because it is so simple and easy to use when it comes to weeding.
If you are a new crafter to the heat transfer shirt game, weeding is simply the removal of the vinyl (after it has been cut) that you don’t want or need for your design. The Stahls Ultra Weed makes the weeding so easy.
Glow In The Dark Ultra Weed
I loved creating the Skeleton Shirt with the glow in the dark heat transfer. I have to say I was really impressed with the strong glow it had once we tested after the Live.
It is pretty bright once in the dark!
I tried my hardest to get a picture (in the dark) with the Heat transfer GLOWING, but my photography skill didn’t do the picture justice.
You will just have to trust me on this… this GLOW material is pretty awesome! You can get it for 15$ off NOW thru October 31st!!! So, take advantage and stock up.
And I absolutely love the way it looks on the adult Spook Ghost shirt that I created.
The glow heat transfer vinyl makes it fun enough for the kid in me yet, the design is super cute for the adult in me. You can find the Etsy design I used here.
Stahls Ultra Weed Heat Transfer Vinyl
After using the Stahls Ultra weed vinyl for several different projects, I have to say it is now my go-t0 favorite vinyl. It is the simplest to use when it comes to weeding a project.
It has a nice give to it, stretch, and adheres to the fabric quite nicely.

You can purchase Ultra Weed in several colors and peel it hot (seconds after it been pressed) from the heat press machine.

I gifted the shirt to my twins’ first-grade teacher. After volunteering in class for a few days, I noticed that she kept mentioning the same phrase as her way to gather the students’ attention from one task to the other! And how fitting for October! So I just had to create this.
Technically, she can wear it year-round, but I am really loving the phrase this month!! Get the FREE SVG from my resource library!
