The Ultimate Blogging Handbook
When I first began blogging it was on a whim. It was practically at midnight, either the day before or day after New Year’s Eve. I had come across a tutorial from a blogger I followed at the time, about how to set up a blog on word press.
I had absolutely No Idea what I was doing.
In fact, I can’t believe I even went through with it. It felt like several daunting steps to setting up a blog. The outline this blogger had was not the greatest. But, I didn’t know it at the time.
You can see my tutorial on set a blog up in 5 steps.
So, I just thought, oh well, I want to blog, and I just kept stumbling through the crazy steps as best as I could. I did end up with a self-hosted blog. It had no design, and I still didn’t know how to even write the first post, or make my site “pretty”.
I just thought it would take hundreds of dollars to pay to a graphic designer to get it even half-way decent looking. I did manage to write one post, saying something like “hello to the world”, and then never returned back to the blog until six months later.
I almost threw in the towel.
Somewhere after my first six months of doing nothing, and in between my 2nd six months of nothing, I came across Abby Lawson’s blog. Just a girl and Her Blog, and I found her Ebook and Course: Building a Framework.
And that was the beginning…
I purchased Abby’s book, and then eventually upgraded to get the entire course. It was then and only then, that I knew I wanted to blog. Abby’s book and course was going to get me there.
I am so thankful that I found Building A Framework and just got started so I could reap the benefits that blogging offers! I’ve gained an incredible creative outlet. I’ve found a community of people who are passionate about the same things I am. After all it is about Crafting Our own Beautiful lives around here.
But I haven’t had to do it alone. I’ve had help from my friend Abby at Just a Girl and Her Blog. Abby and her husband are full time bloggers, and they really have a heart for helping people start and grow their blogs.
They recently released the third version of their eBook/course Building a Framework:The Ultimate Blogging Handbook, which is specifically geared toward helping new bloggers get started.
Framework played a major role in helping me grow my own blog, teaching me things like how to set up the technical elements, how to start and grow my social media channels, how to drive more traffic to my site, work with brands, grow an email list, and so much more!
If I had to take the time to figure out all of the different areas of blogging from scratch, my blog certainly wouldn’t be where it is right now. But since I had Building a Framework to guide me each step of the way, I am thrilled to have a thriving blog that is growing more and more each and every day.
If you have ever toyed with the idea of starting a blog, this is your time. You don’t have to do it alone. Building a Framework can help you learn the best practices for all of the major areas of blogging so you can be confident that you are starting out on the right foot from day one. It takes the guesswork out of getting started and helps you grow a thriving site that can help others, give you a fun creative outlet, connect you with other people who share your passions, and even help you earn an income.
Don’t just take my word for it, though:
