Best Blanks for Cricut and Silhouette Crafters
I’ve spent a lot of time over the past few years making personalized items for others. A lot of times these are gifts, and sometimes orders that people have requested. And I have personalized just about everything you can think of. The biggest items have always been adult tee shirts and shirts or onesies for kids.
However, there is so much more you can personalize if you own a Cricut or Silhouette machine. I am sharing my list of sources of where I find blanks for different sorts of projects. I’m including a ton of information in this post, so make sure you bookmark it for future reference.

Before we get into the nitty-gritty of where to find them, let’s just answer this question. What is a blank? A blank item or product that can be customized or personalized with a name or monogram or even design. If you own a

The Main Shops I use For Buying Blanks:
Here’s my list of favorites:
Target

Best Blanks for Heat Transfer and Iron-On Vinyl
There are so many sources available when it comes to buying shirts and onesies. It seems there are even new sources popping up almost weekly. For me personally, I like to keep it simple, easy, consistent and quick. This means if I am ordering a blank that is for a customer or someone else on a deadline, I always choose a quick shipper whose quality of the product is consistent order to order. A lot of the time it is Amazon with the two-day shipping. However, it is not always the best price.
My favorite tee shirt brand to get is Bella Canvas – and you can find these at most of the sources I listed above.
Adult Shirts and Other Apparel
If you are using Heat Transfer vinyl or Iron-On vinyl, you are most likely heating it up and pressing it onto a garment of some sort. Here are some of the blanks I use when creating Heat Transfer projects.
Raglan Shirts (Baseball Style)
If you aren’t looking to pruchase bulk items or just need one or two items, then check Target, Hobby Lobby and even Walmart. These are great places to buy just one or two of something.
Craft Business Owner Tip: When I do a project, I typically buy three to five of the same item, because more likely often than not, someon will see the finsihed project and will want to purchase one for themself or a friend. And I will already have the extra item on hand to be able to do so fairly quickly.
Onesies and Kids Apparel
I most likely like to stick to higher quality blanks when it comes to kids items. The more durable, the longer the item will hold up with wear and tear. Especially when it comes to items for kids, you want themto last through several washes and uses. Here are some of my favorites.
Tote bags and Zipper Pouches And More
A lot of times, I prefer to personalize a tote bag or a zipper pouch for someone. Especially if I don’t know their shirt size. I love making tote bags for teacher gifts, and they love it too. Who doesn’t need a new bag to organize all the things?
Zipper Pouches –Â Hobby Lobby even offers cute ones from time to time.
Adhesive Vinyl Blanks For Cricut & Silhouette
Adhesive vinyl is the kind of vinyl that acts similarly to a sticker. There is no heat source to apply it to your surface and it is generally applied to a hard surface like a cup or jar. You can read about some of my favorite places to Adhesive Vinyl supplies here.Â
The list for blanks goes on and on. Another place that I truly love to check out first and locally is the Dollar Tree. I can usually find what I am looking for there when it comes to blanks for Adhesive Vinyl. You can also check them out online and get free shipping when ordering items in bulk to the store.
My favorite place to craft is in my craft room in front of my Dreambox. I love the Dreambox because it holds all of my craft supplies and they are easy to get to within an arms reach.
