Where to Buy Embroidery Machine Designs
When you first get started with creating embroidery machine projects you will quickly realize that you will want to find different designs to create. You will also want to increase your embroidery project list. Looking for where to buy embroidery machine designs is not always easy.
Finding cute designs to create and modify can be challenging if you don’t know where to look. And today I am going to share with you some of my top resources for finding cute embroidery machine designs!
You will never run out of places to go to when creating a new project. Whether it is related to kids items, new fonts, or new shirt designs this list will be your go-to list.
When setting out to create something new with your embroidery machine you will start looking within this embroidery machine designs list.
Here are my top places to shop for embroidery machine designs, appliques, and fonts:
Embroidery Machine Designs List of Favorites
1). Fonts – When it comes to FONTS – you will want to get fonts that are compatible with your embroidery machine software. This makes it easier and much faster when creating or modifying new designs.
You can read all about embroidery machine software where I share all about purchasing the software. My software uses a BX file type for fonts. So when purchasing a font to add to your software’s library you will want to make sure and TRIPLE CHECK that BX file type is offered.
Rivermill Embroidery offers a variety of fonts and applique designs. They are best known for offering the BX format specific to be used with the Embrillance Embroidery Machine Software.
2). Applique Designs – Applique designs are designs that are used with fabric and then either a decorative or satin stitch stitches on top of the fabric design. You can get these anywhere on Etsy .  My favorite shops that sell applique designs are EmbroideryBoutique2 and BeauMitchellBoutique.
I also love designs from So Cute Appliques because the designs include phrases and words with the applique. And her designs are exactly that “so cute”!
3). Feltie Designs – Feltie design are embroidery machine designs that are small overall not exceeding 1-2 inches. These embroidery machine designs can be stitched one at a time or in multiples in one hooping.
I sell several feltie designs as planner paper clips in my shop gift section. Little Shop of Stitches sell the cutes designs that make the best paper clips.
4). Hooded Towel Applique – One of my favorite embroidery machines designs to buy when I was first starting out making new designs was hooded towels with characters peeking at the edge of a hooded towel.

My absolute favorite place to buy these types of designs is from French Frills. Danielle is a dream when it comes to these designs. She will even help you if you have a little trouble figuring something out as a newbie.
French Frills designs actually help you go from a novice embroiderer to almost intermediate or advanced.
5). Key Chain & Fob Designs – Designs that are for creating key chains and key fobs to snap onto a key ring. In The Hoop by Sher offers some cute designs. These are great to sell at craft shows or fairs.

6). In The Hoop – In The Hoop Designs (ITH) are designs that create the entire project in the embroidery hoop. Once it is done stitching you have something other than just a design.
You will have a pillow or a purse, or something like a full stuffed animal that just needs the stuffing. ITH designs are really fun and unique to create.
One of my favorites is the Applique Place for creating doll clothing for American Girl dolls and Lovely Leaf for in the hoop tooth fairy pillows.
There are several designs for all sorts of projects and these listed are just some of my favorites, however, you can find countless of designers on Etsy for all your design needs.

Be sure to check for coupons and deals like BOGO or 4FOR3 as some designers will give you an entire design for free, all you have to do is add to your cart on Etsy – and it should adjust the total accordingly, or you can simply add a coupon if provided from their shop banner.
Do you have any favorite designs you love to use or shops that you buy form all the time? I’d love to hear about it in the comments section so that I can check them out!
