Welcome Y’all Door Hanger Kit

Create this Welcome Y’all DIY Fall door hanger to complete your Fall home decor look with this simple DIY kit. This kit includes everything you need to make this door hanger your own. 

I love the Fall season and I was excited to be able to put this simple and easy door hanger kit together. You can find this DIY door hanger kit in the shop. Add your own paints to create a look all your own, or re-create a fall look just as I have done below.

I knew I wanted to have something simple in my front door area to great guests that also said Fall and this “Welcome Y’all” kit was just the thing.

Making the DIY Door Hanger

I recently shared my process for making this craft kit on my Facebook page where I go live showing new craft ideas. If you don’t follow me there, I’d love to have you over there in our community. I am also sharing new craft ideas.

Below is the video I created showing how I decided to personalize this kit.

Once you have all the materials you will need to set up an area to create. The dining room table or your craft table is a great place. My video above shows me creating this sign on my craft table, in front of my Dreambox cabinet as it has all my supplies within the craft storage cabinet at an arms reach.

Materials Needed:

• Welcome Y’all Craft kit from my shop – you check out all the craft kits here
• Craft paints
• Wood stain or Waverly Antique Wax
• Painters Tape
• Stencil (included in kit)
• Painters Tape
• Embellishments for a bow or floral picks
• Glue and hot glue gun

 

Making the Door Hanger

First, you will want to paint the bottom section of your door hanger using painters tape off the bottom section. Paint the bottom half the color of your choice. I chose an orange color called Pumpkin to make this door hanger more of a fall theme.

Then paint or stain the top half of your door hanger. I used Waverly Antique wax to stain my upper half.

 

Then remove the backing from your stencil and apply it to the door hanger. Remove the top clear transfer sheet and then using a different color of paint, stencil paint by using a blotting method with sponges to paint the cutouts of the stencil.

Allow for the stencil paint to dry.

Once dry, attach your wood beads to the pipe cleaner and attach it to the pre-drilled holes of the door hanger.

Add any bows or embellishments that you prefer and change up and enjoy!
