How To Make A Floral Arrangement
If you want to recreate this Dollar Tree version of Summer Flowers you will need to head to your local Dollar Tree and gather up the following supplies.
- Craft Paint in white or any color of your choice. I used Waverly chalk paint from Walmart or you can get some from my favorite craft store)
- Metal floral tin from the Dollar Tree)
- 6-8 Floral flowers and floral foam from the Dollar Tree)
- Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks and paint brushes from the dollar store or craft shop. Most people have this in their craft stash
Making the Floral Box
I painted my floral box completely and let dry. I painted two coats on my tin to fully cover the tin box. Once it was dry, I went back in with some black acrylic paint and paint the edges of it to give it a more farmhouse look. I love decorating my home in the farmhouse theme, so you can do this step or skip.
Once you have finished the base, you can decide to destress the vase or not. Using the same black paint I painted randomly in places on the tin and smeared it with a paper towel to allow the words to be able to be read on the tin box. I did this method to both sides.
You can see my exact process to this step in the video below.
Adding The Flowers
To add the flowers, I hot glued down the form bricks to the bottom inside of the floral tin box. Then I placed the majority of the flowers to fill the center of the box. I made sure to position them towards the front. This is one trick I use to make my floral arrangments look fuller than they really are. If you look at them from the back, you can tell they really could use additional flowers.
Once you are done, display and stand back and admire your beautiful flowers!
